Two people want to know what I eat for breakfast?

Last Tuesday, I discovered how to use a poll in this blog and after overwhelming results, 2 people–one of them Moriah from my office (the other was presumably my mother) voted that they want me share what I eat for breakfast. Weird.

I have been making green smoothies for breakfast and you should too because they are easy to make, healthy and fast. After the age of 30, no one should ever eat cereal with a tiger on the box. Ever. Especially when you can have these. I like to add chia seeds because Scott Jurek, my favorite athlete, says they are good for you. Add some red hot peppermints and you have yourself the perfect yule tide drink.

Alkaline Green Smoothie
yield- 1 smoothie approx 12-16oz

6″ piece of cucumber
3 medium Kale leaves, torn
5 stems fresh mint
3 stems fresh parsley
1″ piece fresh ginger
1 avocado
1 cup coconut water
fresh juice of one lime
1-2 tsp udo’s oil
1-2 tbsp hemp seeds
2-3 drops stevia or a tsp of agave
Method
Place all ingredients into high speed blender and mix until smooth, adding a little filtered water if needed for consistency.
