Don’t worry, we are not closed this summer, even if my lack of posting on the blog might suggest otherwise. Truth is this blog was one of the first places to suffer from a busier than expected summer. My wonderful colleague Nicole Vilegi accepted a new position outside of the University and while I am very sad to see her go (she was great work with) I’m happy for her and know she’ll do great things in her new career. She did a lot for the school and we are currently searching for someone to fill her position. So, in the meantime, we are chipping away in the office, getting through some summer projects such as deciding on the types of chachkies we want to give away at college fairs, redoing some marketing materials and plotting out our travel schedule. Care to lend a hand? Ok great. Would you rather have Josef Korbel School lip balm or a Josef Korbel School pen? This is a no brainer right? Pens are a dime a dozen (actually, they are $0.35 per 1000) and everyone has them–rarely do they ever work. Lip balm on the other hand is the gift that keeps on giving in the form of protecting you from lip discomfort. Plus Colorado is a dry state so if you come to Korbel, you’re going to need it. The world is slowly going paperless which will soon make pens obsolete. The world will never go lip less, making lip balm a wise investment (which it better be for a price of $0.68 per 1,000).
I promise to get back on track next Thursday when I discuss more ways to strengthen your graduate school application. Also, we just received our alumni employment survey results which will be published in the coming days. Stay tuned.
