Many of you have asked about our new funding platforms for the coming year. I am pleased to announce these quality groups are ready to share with our applicant pool. For some applicants, these groups represent good news as we increased the scholarship amounts with the top scholarship increasing from $15,000 last year to $18,000 this year. For others, these groups represent disappointing news because we increased the minimum GRE score needed to qualify from a 550 Verbal to a 600 Verbal. The new quality groups use the GRE Verbal (the new score as well as the equivalent old score) and GPA to help students know what kind of scholarship they are eligible for if they gain admission to the Josef Korbel School.
If you do not fit into one of these categories that does not mean you will not be offered admission nor does it mean you will not be considered for other funding opportunities. Applicants who do not meet the funding platforms will be considered for scholarship funding based on the submitted application and supplemental documents. No additional application is required.

All complete applications are considered (no additional application is required) and scholarships are offered for two academic years based on good academic standing. Due to the financial benefits of the dual degree programs, certificate programs and Peace Corps affiliated programs; applicants to these programs are not eligible for one of the aforementioned scholarships but are considered for other merit-based scholarships. Applicants to the MA in Conflict Resolution are not eligible for these scholarships. Please contact the Conflict Resolution Institute for questions about scholarships in the Conflict Resolution MA degree.
Please contact me (brad.miller@du.edu) if you have any questions about our new merit based scholarship platform.
